Melissa R. Theriault is Of Counsel at Harmony Law. Ms. Theriault is solely licensed to practice in Wyoming and primarily focuses on civil litigation, consumer law, family law and administrative appeals. Ms. Theriault also serves as a Guardian Ad Litem or Mediator in guardianships, contested divorces, and custody matters.
Ms. Theriault has a diverse legal background. She began her career in a prominent Wyoming civil litigation firm where she worked for several years. From there, Ms. Theriault joined the State of Wyoming as the first full-time investigative attorney in the Consumer Protection Unit. Ms. Theriault then became the Director of Wyoming's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, where she also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Wyoming.
Although Ms. Theriault is a Wyoming native, she spent time living on her family's farm in rural Nebraska before moving to Chicago to pursue her Bachelor of Fine Arts in theater After graduating with her BFA (with honors), Ms. Theriault returned to Wyoming where she attended the University of Wyoming, College of Law and graduated in 2007.
Ms. Theriault is not only a staunch advocate for her clients but also for those in her community. Ms. Theriault is a member of the Women's Civic League of Cheyenne, provides case management for people with developmental disabilities, and serves on the Wyoming Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities. She is the mother of four and enjoys sharing her passion for volunteering, cooking, and the outdoors with each of her children.
