Clients avoid liability in Consumer Protection action brought by Wyoming Attorney General

Harmony Law, LLC recently achieved a successful outcome for several of its clients who were sued by the Wyoming Attorney General for violations of the Wyoming Consumer Protection Act. The Wyoming Attorney General sued several defunct companies and several people associated with those companies. Harmony Law represented the companies and several defendants who had various roles with the companies. The Wyoming Attorney General sought to impose extremely heavy liabilities on everyone. The Attorney General's approach was heavy handed. Anyone with a connection to the companies who allegedly violated the Consumer Protection Act was deemed to have also violated the Act despite what their actual involvement, if any, might have been.

The Wyoming Attorney General relentlessly attacked the defendants, hoping that they would surrender and agree to the imposition of massive fines and other liability. However, Harmony Law was even more relentless in its defense of the defendants. The Wyoming Attorney General abandoned its efforts to impose heavy liabilities on the defendant people. The defendant people were dismissed from the case without admitting any liability, with the promise that they would not do business in Wyoming or with Wyoming consumers. This was a far cry from the Wyoming Attorney General's initial position. The defendants were extremely relieved to be dismissed from the case.

Rumor has it that the Wyoming Attorney General is hungry for more defendants. If you, or your company is the subject of a Wyoming Attorney General lawsuit, please feel free to reach out to Harmony Law, LLC for assistance. We will stand firm and not back down from the overly aggressive actions of the Wyoming Attorney General.
